Who are we?

At Women in Global Health, we believe that a diverse, gender balanced leadership is key for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and are working to give all genders an equal voice in the global health sector. Established in 2015, we are now a federally recognized 501-3c and have successfully collaborated with the some of leading policy, research and advocacy organizations in global health, including the World Health Organization, United Nations, Geneva Graduate Institute, United Nations Foundation and many more.

What do we do?

We work through:

  • Community engagement and empowerment;

  • Bringing visibility and recognition to the contributions of women in global health across the world;

  • Catalyzing change and working with the most influential in global health at all levels;

  • Collecting data, analyze and disseminate the latest information on gender equality in global health leadership; and

  • Creating tools for gender transformative leadership

We have convened multi-stakeholder, inter-generational dialogues across the globe and brought together leaders across the world and at all career-levels in conversations about furthering gender equality in global health leadership. We have developed and led over 25+ events, engaging over 1500 participants in the past year from over 70+ countries.  Our activities were supported using a partnership (over 50+ partners) and volunteer model, with over 20,000+ volunteer hours and 20+ volunteers from 6 regions with decades of experience in gender, leadership, global health, development and more.

Why join us?

This is your chance to join a highly motivated, international, virtually based organization and team to help create the global health space we envision for a more gender equal world and improved global health outcomes. We’re looking for committed and ambitious people who believe in our vision and are inspired to be a part of the social and institutional change we are catalyzing. We aspire to have a team as diverse as this discipline- all genders, backgrounds and stages of career from around the world are welcome!
