Temitayo 'Temi' Ifafore-Calfee

Human Resources Associate

I am a public health leader guided by the urgency to use my work to fight oppression’s multiple forms. Born in Nigeria and raised in the United States, my approach to life has always had a global lens. My public health career choices have combined an interest in agency and power dynamics. As an anthropologist at heart, I believe that we influence humanity through our actions. Deeds, when thoughtfully taken, bolstered by equally thoughtful action, reveals the best of humanity.  This is the standard by which I engage in my public health work, from a place of cultural humility and transparency.
I received my M.P.H. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and B.A. from Yale University. I also have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
I am founder of Global South Solutions, a small, woman and minority owned business that provides strategic positioning expertise to small and mid-sized health firms that want to grow their international portfolios. I bring over 15 years of experience as a global health leader, holding senior and director-level roles at the Human Diagnosis Project, the Public Health Institute, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Johns Hopkins Medicine International, and the William J. Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative (CHAI).
I serves as strategic advisor to two social ventures: All Things Health Africa, and One Sun Health and am on the board of Birthright Africa.
