A Special International Women's Day Event hosted by WHO
"Women Leaders in the Health and Care Workforce"
The 2021 theme for International Women’s Day is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”. Women in Global Health will be joining an event hosted by WHO's featuring Dr. Tedros Adhanom, WHO Director-General, and other global leaders alongside WGH Chapter members. The event will celebrate women leaders in health and care during the International Year of Health and Care Workers and highlight the importance of women in the response to COVID-19 while providing an opportunity to connect our WGH Chapters from around the world to WHO and other multilateral and government leaders to action change and drive policy in their countries.

WGH Joins the UHC2030 Partnership
At a signing ceremony at the 71st World Health Assembly, Women in Global Health signed the UHC2030 Global Impact for Progress to Universal Health Coverage and joined the UHC2030 partnership of civil society organisations.
